Elite skills clarification please...
Let's start from the beginning. I just finished Prophecies with an ELE character and now purchased Night Fall and started another ELE character. I knew that my ELE skills would be unlocked when I got to Lion's Arch and they were but what about my ELE elite skills. I didn't see them. They are unlocked for my heroes but not for me, why? Are Elite skills an exception? Please clarify this for me.
Thx. |

Yes, you will need to capture again your elite skills with your 2nd ele.
Btw, you can go with your prophecies ele to nightfall, to increase the number of skills you have. There's no need to create another ele. |

yes, elite skills are an exception. you have to cap them all over again or buy tomes. good luck. ... or just take your prophecies ele over to NF and continue the story. Trinity has finished the entire game... it is more profitable in terms of your titles to keep just one character from each class unless you want to do everything over and over as an ele.
... ummm... beaten to it... ^^ what he said |

Elites are unlock, technically, because you can use an elite tome to get the skill, but otherwise you cant buy elite skills, you have to re-capture them.

The elite skills you captured with your first Ele will be "unlocked" for your other characters, but that only means that you could use an Elite Tome to get them. Otherwise you'll need to capture them again.

In other words, elite skills are the ones you can't buy from skill trainers. (instead you obtain them with elite tomes or capture them with SoC)
As you like things taken from the beginning, I will do so. The ways to obtain skills are: - Through skill quests (there are a multiple in prophesis, but just a few in the starting area in factions and nf). - By buying them from a skill trainer who has them. - By capture them with SoC from a dead boss of your profession. - By somehow unlocking them (normally with balthazar factions and then 1: use the profession specific tome to gain it, or 2: go to a skill trainer in the campaign from where the skill is from, and by it there (as it now will be obtainable with everywhere). Elite skills can only be acquired from the use of SoC near a dead boss of your profession (primary or secondary). Or by the use of an Elite *profession* tome, this recquires that the elite skill is unlocked (normally by the use of balthazae factions). As a note, there is usually unnessessary to have more than one character of each profession. |

Thanks everyone for explaining. I think I will start a new profession in NightFall. I'll keep my 2nd ELE and use as a mule. I'll also run my Prophecies ELE in NightFall and Factions.
Thanks again guys. |
